Announces
Its First Annual Photography Contest
Contest Rules and Information
The contest runs until midnight on July 31, 2026
The categories include:
*Landscape and Nature
*Architecture
*Portrait and Still Life
*Photographic Art
*Youth Photography – 17 years old and younger
All photographs must be taken within the borders of Charles County.
Who may enter?
The contest is open to all ages – photographers 17 years and younger must have a parent or guardian submit a photograph for them.
Board members of SRPT may not enter the contest.
What to enter
A $10.00 entry fee will allow a photographer to enter up to 4 photographs in any category.
Photographs must be original artwork of the submitting photographer.
All photographs remain the property of the submitting photographer but SRPT reserves the right to use the photographs in their marketing without payment for up to 3 years.
SRPT is not responsible for mis delivered or lost photographs.
Any photograph considered offensive in nature will be rejected by SRPT.
Photograph Presentation:
Photographs must be submitted as a 5 X 7 or 8 X 10 paper photograph matted in a white mat.

Taken to the Port Tobacco Courthouse July 16th, July 23rd, July 30th and July 31st 2026 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Times are subject to change, please check website to confirm times.
Prizes:
First, Second and Third place prizes will be given in each category including youth category.
First Prize - $25.00
Second Prize - $15.00
Third Prize - $10.00
Grand Prize Winner :
A grand prize winner will be selected and a 16 X 20 photograph of the winning photo will hang in the courthouse for a period of 1 year.
SRPT reserves the right to modify the terms of the contest without notice.
